A worn throttle position sensor is one of the most common causes of flat spots, erratic idle and inconsistent tip-in on a tuned engine. Traditional resistive TPS units use a wiper running on a carbon track, and once that track wears the signal starts to drop out right where you spend most of your time on the pedal.

The Haltech HT-010409 Contactless Dual Channel Throttle Position Sensor uses a Hall effect sensing element with no physical contact, so there is nothing to wear. It outputs two complementary voltage signals as the throttle rotates, giving your ECU a built-in cross-check: if the two channels ever disagree, the ECU can detect the fault instead of acting on a bad reading. That redundancy is exactly what drive-by-wire setups need.

It is IP68 rated and compact enough to fit where a factory sensor used to sit, making it a strong upgrade for both mechanical cable throttles and DBW throttle bodies that need an external TPS separate from the motor.
