The factory countershaft retainer is a weak point of the T5. It does not support the bearing and is subject to flexing. This causes misalignment of the countershaft and main shaft resulting in gear breakages.
Our upgraded and much stronger unit is a must for all T5 rebuilds.
Comes with shims and 4 high tensile countersunk bolts - Torque setting 15ft/lb. Use Loctite.
