T5 World Class Master Rebuild Kit - Suits All Ford Falcon and Holden Commodore World Class T5s
Every part you need to rebuild a World Class T5 properly, in one box. This is the full rebuild kit with the small parts added - the clips, washers, roll pins, shims and bushes that people forget to order and then wait a week for while the gearbox sits in pieces on the bench.
Kit includes
- Genuine Timken bearing set - front, rear, countershaft and mainshaft
- Synchrotech carbon synchro rings, 1st through 5th
- Input shaft seal, output shaft seal and top cover O-ring
- Shift fork pads, set of 6
- Shift key and spring sets for all gears
- Rear extension housing bush
- Countershaft shims and input shaft shims
- Shifter bush
- All roll pins, clips, snap rings and washers
Why the small parts matter
Roll pins and clips are single-use. Reusing a stretched roll pin in the shift rail or a tired snap ring on the mainshaft is how a fresh rebuild jumps out of gear six months later. The shims are the other one - countershaft and input endfloat have to be set to spec, and you cannot do that with the shims that came out.
Adding an input shaft pocket bearing
There are two types fitted to the World Class T5 and they are not interchangeable. Choose yours from the options above.
Not sure which one your gearbox has? Here is how to check in two minutes.
If the box is not stripped yet, select Not sure - contact me and we will confirm with you before we pack it.
Worth adding while the box is apart
- Countershaft cluster support / steel retainer - the alloy original cracks and lets the cluster walk. The common cause of a T5 that whines then eats a countershaft.
- Front input steel bearing retainer - replaces the cast original that wears oval where the release bearing rides.
- Billet 3rd / 4th shift fork - only worth it behind serious power. For a street rebuild the cast fork with the new pads in this kit is plenty.
- Solid billet 3rd / 4th shift keys - an upgrade over the sprung OEM keys included here, for boxes that see hard changes.
You will need fluid to refill it
A T5 takes ATF, not gear oil. Carbon synchros in particular need the friction package in an ATF to grab properly - fill a freshly rebuilt box with 75W90 and it will still crunch on a fast change.
We stock KCK RE44, and one 2.5 litre bottle fills a T5 with nothing left over. Here is why it has to be ATF.
Applications
Suits Holden, Ford, TVR and Sierra Cosworth World Class T5 transmissions.
Other kits
Do not need the small parts? The T5 rebuild kit with synchros covers bearings, seals, fork pads and carbon synchros. Bearings and seals only - the T5 minor rebuild kit.

Why buy your T5 parts from Racing Solutions
We rebuild World Class T5 gearboxes in house, and we stock the parts to do it. The part you are ordering is one we fit ourselves, held on our own shelf in Perth — not ordered in from overseas after you pay.
That is one of our own performance gearsets mid-rebuild. Over 20 years of hands-on trade experience sits behind every part we list and every bit of advice we give.
T5 buying information
Does this fit my T5?
Almost certainly, yes. Our World Class T5 parts suit the T5 as fitted to Australian-delivered Ford Falcons — XF, XG, XH, EA, EB, ED, EF, EL, AU and BA, in both six-cylinder and V8 — and Holden Commodore VN through VS, six-cylinder and V8. They also suit TVR and Sierra Cosworth T5 applications.
The one exception is the input shaft pocket bearing. Two types were fitted to the World Class T5 and they are not interchangeable, so that is the one thing worth checking before you order. Here is how to identify yours in two minutes.
Still not sure? Tell us the car, the engine and what the box is doing and we will confirm it before you buy. If it is already apart, send a photo.
Stock and availability
We hold World Class T5 parts in stock in Perth. If a part is listed on the site, it is on the shelf.
Parts that are out of stock are taken off the site rather than left listed, so you will not order something and then be told it is on back order.
Gearsets are the exception — allow around a week for dispatch on those.
Dispatch and delivery
Orders are processed within 1 to 3 business days and posted from Perth, Western Australia.
Shipping is charged on the weight of your order, so small parts ship cheaply and you are not paying a flat rate for a seal.
Heavy items such as gearsets go by standard post only. If you need one urgently, get in touch and we will quote express.
Returns
If a part is not right, get in touch and we will sort it out. Full terms are on our refund policy page.
Rebuild services carry a 90 day warranty on workmanship.
Would you rather we rebuilt it?
We rebuild World Class T5 gearboxes to order. Send us the box, we strip and assess it, then quote you on standard and modified options before any work starts.
Usually 3 to 4 weeks from the arrival of your transmission. Call 0458 998 395 or see the T5 rebuild service.
Not sure which part you need?
T5s vary between World Class and non World Class, and between Ford and GM applications, so the same job can take different parts depending on what you have.
Tell us the car, the engine and what the box is doing, and we will confirm the right part before you buy. Send a photo if it is already apart.
If you are ordering a rebuild kit, see how to identify your input shaft pocket bearing.
